DRAGONS ABREAST BRIBIE ISLAND has come a long way since we launched our boat "Spirit of Bribie" on 3May 2009.
Our membership has grown and 5 members travelled to Peterborough this year for the international festival at Peterborough.
We have also taken part in the inaugural DAA regatta at Kawana and have joined with Redcliffe Pink Snapdragons to paddle away when we could not raise a full team.
Some of DABI members will be joining them also for Chinese New Year paddling next Feb. in Sydney.
Over 20 of us are travelling to St.George this weekend to take part in their River Festival, and will have some photos to share on our return next week.
We have enjoyed support from various groups on the Island and attached is a photo of members receiving a cheque from QUATTRO, a group of artists at Bribie.
