Progress for DABI

We are working to make our new DABI a success and have had some support from the local clubs and the media.
Lexie Warren and I have been the guest at both Zonta Caboolture and Rotary Bribie Island.
We were warmly received at both clubs and especially as at Rotary, two of the Rotary wives are currently undergoing their breast cancer treatment.
We have been lead to believe that we will soon have some support from them with regards to us "Getting on the water" in Pumicestone Passage.
Sunday Sep.28 we have organised an interclub "get together" with Currumbin, Redcliffe, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast as well as our new DABI.
We are hoping for 3 of the clubs to bring boast and we will launch them at Banksia Beach boatramp, and, after some "fun" paddles we will BBQ in Col. Fisher Park. The council have given us a permit to use this area from 9A.M., when the tide will be high, and 4P.M. and I expect everyone will be very tired by then.
Prior to this, on Sat 27 Sep. we are dining at the Bribie Island Hotel with tables decorated in pink with "Pink Lady" decorations. We will have about 60 pink paddlers and their partners for this.
